A recent Star Wars cosplay brings Ahsoka Tano to life in an unusual yet highly entertaining way, giving Darth Vader sass in the process. Ahsoka’s character has come a long way since her first appearance in Star Wars: The Clone Wars, returning in Star Wars Rebels before making her live-action debut in The Mandalorian. While the upcoming Ahsoka series if proof enough of her enduring popularity, cosplays add a more personal touch. One Ahsoka cosplay deserves credit for its creativity in adapting the character.
Coloured Contacts on Twitter shared an incredible Ahsoka Tano cosplay by Cici Whitney, using audio from Ahsoka’s exchange with Vader in the Star Wars Rebels season 2 finale.
The video cleverly begins with Whitney is a simple outfit, giving the appearance of a “what if Ahsoka was a human” type cosplay before she transforms into an amazing rendition of Ahsoka. The twirling white lightsabers are a nice touch that displays Ahsoka in all her live-action glory.
Ahsoka’s Many Returns Demonstrate Her Enduring Star Wars Legacy
Star Wars continually finds a way to bring Ahsoka back for new stories, proving her popularity and how essential she is to the franchise. Audiences have always been desperate to know when Ahsoka will come back, from her leaving the Jedi Order in The Clone Wars to her apparent death in Rebels. Her live-action debut in The Mandalorian opened new possibilities for her role in future projects, and the upcoming Ahsoka series cemented her place in the TV shows. Ahsoka will continue to return in Star Wars animation as well, as seen by The Clone Wars season seven and Star Wars: Tales of the Jedi season one.
