Weapons in Resident Evil 4 Remake can be upgraded through different attachments to improve and customize various tools players find throughout the game. Although various attachments are only compatible with certain weapons, players can still get these tools multiple times and apply them to nearly every gun they encounter. Ranging from scopes, stocks, and even sensors, players have a better chance to overcome the hordes of Ganados enemies in the story using these upgrades.

There are seven total weapon attachments seen in RE4 Remake, with six of them being sold through the Merchant. These attachments seen for sale by the mysterious salesperson can be bought through the game’s currency, Pesetas, and Spinels. While players have many chances to find and increase treasure value in RE4 Remake for more Pesetas, Spinels are a bit harder to find, only showing up randomly on defeated enemies or within the occasional chest.

Each attachment increases a stat on the weapon it gets put on, affecting qualities like Precision, Rate of Fire, or even Reload Speed. The descriptions for every potential upgrade are listed to the player before spending Pesetas or Spinels, giving a good idea of what investment is being made. Notably, most firearms are the weapons receiving these enhancements, as special tools such as the Bolt Thrower in RE4 Remake cannot equip these attachments.

How To Equip Weapon Attachments

Once players discover or purchase a weapon attachment, they must go to the Items menu of their Inventory and select the gun they want to add the upgrade to. Selecting the “Parts” prompt shows what attachments players have that are compatible with the chosen weapon, with the option to modify the gun with the specific part. Those who learn how to find these weapon attachments in this section can customize their firearm in Resident Evil 4 Remake at their leisure for the tough battles seen in upcoming missions.

However, with Umbrella disassembled, a new threat emerges – a cult known as the Los Illuminados, led by Osmund Saddler. Saddler has kidnapped the President’s daughter, Ashley Graham, and Leon has been dispatched to her last known location – a remote region deep in the heart of Spain. Carrying a heavy heart over his failure to stop Raccoon city from being wiped off of the face of the Earth, Leon looks to redeem himself by saving Ashley and putting a stop to this new threat. Resident Evil 4 Remake will follow in a similar vein as the Resident Evil 2 & 3 remakes, with overhauled graphics and the evolved third-person action/horror gameplay the series has become known for.
