Marysol Patton married Philippe Pautesta-Herder during The Real Housewives of Miami season 1, but their relationship has changed since. Their romance always seemed playful, and they had a strong emotional connection. Marysol’s mother, Elsa Patton, who passed away in 2019, loved Philippe. She was more than supportive of their relationship. Unfortunately, they were hit by the Bravo curse and divorced within a year of getting married.

Marysol and Philippe were introduced as a couple at the beginning of the first season, which now streams on Peacock. Even though Marysol was busy working all the time, she always had time for her partner. Marysol and Philippe had only been dating for a short period of time before they decided to get engaged. During an episode of RHOM, Philippe took Marysol out for a quiet dinner. Then, he proposed with a massive diamond ring. Marysol was completely taken by surprise and couldn’t help but shed a few tears.

In March 2010, the couple tied the knot in an intimate ceremony in Aspen, Colorado, which was shown on RHOM. The wedding took place a few days after Philippe proposed. The wedding was beautiful, as they said their “I do’s” on a mountaintop with just Marysol, Philippe, and their minister. These two had the foundation to make a marriage work, but in the end, Marysol knew the relationship was not right for her.

In 2012, Marysol announced that she and Philippe had gone their separate ways. During an episode from RHOM season 2, Marysol decided that she was ready to end her marriage to the French businessman. She had been married to him for a little over a year. “I was really, really, really sad the whole time we were filming,” she told Celebuzz in November 2012. “I was an emotional wreck […] I was just an emotional mess, but I tried.” Even though the marriage did not work out, Marysol and Philippe ended on good terms.

The former reality star realized she was too dedicated to her career. “We were in two different places, we still love each other, we’re like family,” Marysol concluded. However, years after she and Philippe’s marriage ended, Marysol married construction company owner Steve McNamara in Tulum in 2021. The couple is still together as of April 2023.

Since they ended their marriage in 2012, Marysol and Philippe seem to have moved on in life. Marysol returned as a friend of The Real Housewives of Miami seasons 4 and 5 and is currently on The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip season 3. Philippe seems to be staying out of the spotlight, as his Instagram is currently set to private. Although their relationship didn’t last, both seem to have recovered.
