Building a powerful Odin deck is all about selecting cards with On Reveal abilities to buff players while weakening opponents in Marvel SNAP.

Pool One Beginner’s Odin Deck

Odin was lying in Thor: The Dark World when he said, “A wise king never seeks out war. But he must always be ready for it.Odin decks in Marvel SNAP are all about re-triggering On Reveal abilities to buff cards and even spread power across the board to not be pigeonholed into the lane where Odin is played. Because he’s unlocked almost immediately in the game, decks built around his ability can help players climb through Pool One.

Odin’s ability, “On Reveal: Activate the On Reveal abilities of your other cards at this location,” is one of the most powerful in Pool One. While the Odin-Wong SNAP deck contains Black Panther, a Pool 5 card, all the beginner deck cards are available before Collection Level 14. They are usable almost immediately after starting the game. While some early Collection Level cards get phased out of decks soon after unlocking Pool 2 SNAP cards, Odin stays a viable choice even into more competitive matches.

Odin-Wong On Reveal Deck

One of the best aspects of this deck is its versatility because it doesn’t require a perfect setup, and failing to draw one of the major cards won’t throw the game. Both the Absorbing Man and Black Panther cards are from high Collection Level pools and replaceable if players want to try this deck at before arriving once they collect all the cards in Pool 3. Managing to get Wong on at turn three by playing Psylocke on turn two and then playing White Tiger, Black Panther, or Doctor Doom before finishing with Odin can stack numbers on all lanes.

Pool One Beginner’s Odin Deck

The cards in this deck are aimed toward opponents who are also exclusively playing Pool One Marvel SNAP cards, but one of the strongest card combos is still White Tiger and Odin, like the previous deck. The inclusion of Enchantress nulls some of the more powerful Pool One Ongoing abilities like Blue Marvel’s “other cards have +1 Power” and Devil Dinosaur’s “+2 Power for each card in your hand.” Even though Odin’s ability only re-triggers On Reveal abilities in his lane, cards that affect other lanes, like Ironheart and White Tiger, can bulk up the entire board.

Reaching the Marvel SNAP Collection Level to obtain most of the cards featured for both decks are obtainable surprisingly early. “Early” is still a relative term considering Collection Level progress slows down as players level up. Also, within a Collection Level, card unlocks are randomized for all players. For example, Wong may be the first card one player unlocks in Pool 3 but the last another player unlocks.
