Mutare Magnus Puzzles are an integral part of the Honkai: Star Rail story. These tricky puzzles allow the Divination Commission to predict the future.
Players who have progressed to the second planet in Honkai: Star Rail will inevitably come across Mutare Magnus Puzzles. The first destination, Jarilo-VI, had quite a few problems for the Trailblazer to solve, but The Xianzhou Loufu is a step up in quantity and difficulty. The first type of puzzle players may encounter called a Navigation Compass. Following the main story, Fu Xuan will bring the Trailblazer to the Divination Commission. Here players will need to be introduced to Mutare Magnus Puzzles.
Mutare Magnus Puzzles are not limited to just the main story. Just like on Jarilo-VI, an NPC will issue three daily puzzles to the Trailblazer. These can be completed to earn a large amount of rewards. The NPC is named Huixing and is located near the Conclave Hall Space Anchor in the Divination Commission. The Mutare Magnus Puzzles are issued for three days and can be rather challenging.
How To Solve All Mutare Magnus Puzzles
Similar to Abacus Circulatory Puzzles in Honkai: Star Rail, Mutare Magnus Puzzles first appear complicated. However, they tend to have simple solutions and can be completed with a few proper adjustments. Mutare Magnus Puzzles require that players recreate the design shown. Players who wish to see a visual guide for any of the daily Mutare Magnus Puzzles can view an excellent video created by WarbyGaming on YouTube.
These puzzles involve moving different nodes to recreate the design. When holding a node, it can be exchanged if players stand over a different node. For example, the correct solution for the image shown above is as follows:
Move 5 to the bottom left position. Move 3 to wear 5’s original position. Exchange node 1 with node 2. Place node 2 in the bottom right spot. Swap node 4 with node 6. Place node 6 in node one original spot.
The solutions for Days 1-3 can be found below:
Place the bottom left node in the middle left spot. Move the middle node to the top left position.
Exchange the bottom left node with the middle right node. Then, swap the currently held node with the top left node. Place the new node on the bottom left open spot.
Move the bottom left node to the top left spot. Next, move the middle node to the top right spot.
Exchange the top left node with the middle left node. Then, place the currently held node in the bottom right spot. Next, swap the positions of the middle left and middle right nodes. Grab the node directly above the middle right node and move it to the bottom left spot. Lastly, move the top right node to the now open spot on the top right below it.
Move the middle left node to the bottom right spot. Place the middle node on the now open middle left spot. Exchange the middle right node with the top left node. Exchange the currently held node with the top right node. Place this last node in the bottom right spot.
Move the middle left node to the bottom right open spot. Swap the positions of what were originally the two bottom nodes. Move what was originally the middle right node and place it in the bottom left open spot.
Refer to the example puzzle above. For example, this is the solution for Day 3, puzzle 1.
Exchange the middle right node with the middle left node. Now, place the currently held node in the bottom right spot. Move the bottom left node and place it directly in the middle position. Move the top right node to the now open bottom left spot.
Exchange what is currently the top right node with the top left node. Take the currently held node and place it in the top left open spot. Move the bottom right node and place it in the top right open position. Move the middle node to the now open bottom right spot.
Most Mutare Magnus Puzzles can be solved in just a few moves. However, players should take their time and examine the design carefully before moving a piece. Too many incorrect placements can make solving the puzzle more difficult. Fortunately, the rewards for completing the Mutare Magnus Puzzles are great. Every player should seek out Huixing in the Divination Commission, especially with the arrival of Jing Yuan in Honkai: Star Rail.
